Sheyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph most commonly known as “21 Savage” was born on October 22, 1992. He was born in Plaistow, London. In the seventh grade Savage got into some legal trouble which eventually led to him dropping out of school his freshman year to pursue his music career. On his 21st birthday, Savage was shot at 6 times and his best friend Johnny was killed.
Something unique about Savage was that the death of his best friend was what sparked Savage’s career. The death drove Savage to create great music and in his debut album, his song “Bank Account” hit number two on the US Billboard 200. Savage’s music industry is interesting because he joined a collaborative studio album with other famous artists like Offset and Metro Boomin.
The album hit number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100. Savage has been innovating his whole career coming out with new music every year. His album I Am > I Was has been a top sit ever since it came out. His song “10 Freaky Girls ” has been one of his most popular songs as well.
Savage inspires me because of the hardships he has gone through to get to this point. To watch your best friend die is something that nobody should ever have to experience. The fact that he grew up with no father as well is something that drives me. Savage has taught me how to stay mentally tough rather than roll over when things get hard. If you have an idea as an entrepreneur and it doesn’t workout, that doesn’t mean give up. It actually means keep striving until you can figure it out.
I simply do not understand we adore people who enjoy rapping about guns and objectifying the beautiful, luscious women of this earth but at least he has flow.
Although I do not support the violent, crass, and sexually-driven nature of Mr. Savage’s music, I can absolutely get behind his initiative to spend his money on savings plans and investments rather than expensive and frivolous jewelry.
