Many new or growing small businesses struggle with broadcasting their products or services. Many methods exist to get the word out, however Guavabox does this in a more relevant way. Guavabox adopted a strategy called “inbound marketing,” which essentially targets potential customers and attracts them via online education of the products or services. Started by a couple of Grove City graduates, Andrew Dymski and Gray MacKenzie, Guavabox is a unique business that has acknowledged the shift from other marketing strategies to online strategies, and helps businessed get connected with their potential customers. This business takes a new approach to marketing by partnering with businesses in order to increase marketing effectiveness.
This is pretty sweet, especially since it was founded by GCC alum. It’s a very interesting way to build a customer base by educating them on products.
I really like this idea. My parents started a small business and are always looking for better ways to advertise. I think that having the advertising agency partner with its client would be beneficial for the small business, because that would make the advertiser try even harder so they both benefit.
It’s always neet to see GCC alumni starting business, especially ones that are successful.
I enjoyed reading this post, what an innovative idea that the gcc alum came up with. I wonder if most of the companies they provide for are small local customers that rely on word of mouth or are up and coming businesses?
Guavabox is a very interesting company. Their interesting marketing strategy of inbound marketing is innovative and definitely helps them differentiate. Inbound marketing would not work with all products in all markets but it has been a reasonably successful marketing strategy for them. They focus on the education of their potential consumers so that they can make a deal and sale. They are changing the way companies sell and they are filling a portion of the market that was not filled previously.
