A Young entrepreneurs sweet idea
The 15-year old Nicky Bronner has come up with a new healthier solution to candy bars. The son of the millionaire Michael Bronner, was lucky enough to be well connected to make his idea become a reality. Nicky was posed with the problem of wanting to eat candy bars, but realizing the unhealthy side effects that come along with it. He wanted to make a product that still tasted as wonderful, but was not as harmful to the body.
His father, Mr. Bronner, is co-founder of the company and helped Nicky make all the right connections to start his business. Nicky was able to collaborate with Adam Melonas, a progressive- chef from Spain, and together they made Nicky’s healthy candy become a reality. The idea took two years to perfect because of all the natural substitutions that had to be made, but the end result was what Nicky had imagined.
Nicky’s business is called Unreal brands and is being endorsed by Tom Brady, the founder of twitter, and has been released in stores like Target and Kroger. The business is a for-profit company, but it has a social aspect to it because it is trying to address the problem of diabetes and obesity that are rampant in society.
Nicky has done a great job of seeing a problem in society and coming up with a solution. It helps that he has connections in place from is father, but Nicky has done a great job of being innovative and making his idea a reality.
Nicky’s product is also inspiring because of the social implications it has. Obesity is a common problem today and having products like this on the market can help combat the junk food obsession. It inspires me to try to make my for-product profit have some social implications. Nicky is a great example of a young entrepreneur and it will be exciting to see how his Unreal brand does.

That’s a neat idea, but how does he do it? I mean if we all could get the taste of a KitKat without the calories wouldn’t we do it? What are his bars made of, what makes them healthier?
This is an interesting story. It really shows how important it is to have the right connections to begin your own business venture. It is also neat to see a for-profit company with social implications as well like you mentioned. I too would be interested in exactly how these products are made. I feel like it must be something very unique to not have been an idea for larger organizations in the past.
From someone who really enjoys sweets, this seems like a great alternative for people like me. I am very interested in learning what makes his product healthier than others. What is really great is that he is helping the problem of obesity. Although he might not be able to fix obesity altogether, he is definitely contributing to make it easier for people to choose healthier options when it comes to sweets.
Great to see such a young entrepreneur thinking not entirely selfishly and trying to come up with things that can help our nation and the world as a whole. It is something not seen in most company CEO’s and presidents and is something to be admired. I would want to taste one of these candy bars, however, before saying they are “all that.” Like Natalie said, I do not know how you can get the taste of a Kit Kat or Milky Way without making a Kit Kat or Milky Way. I would not want to buy one of these all natural candy bars and bite into it only to discover it tastes like a Kashi Go-Lean Crunch bar or something like that.
I have had Unreal peanut butter cups before and they are quite good! I had no idea it was started by such a young person! I think the social aspect of Nicky’s company is quite inspiring. Diabetes is getting out of control in adolescents and he is trying to make a difference.
Candy is addicting in my opinion. I can eat it all day and all night! i think this idea is something that truly can be beneficial, especially for someone like me. If i knew that i could eat more candy due to healthier content, i would never stop!! However, I am curious as to how close of a taste is has to regular candy. Before i jump for joy and get all excited about this idea, i would definitely need to try it out first.
I was wondering if anyone knows what happened to Dime Piece LA celebrity streetwear brand? I am having trouble to check out on Dimepiecela site. I’ve read in Teen Vogue that the brand was bought out by a UK hedge fund for $50 million. I’ve just bought the Friends Slim Phone Case from Ebay and absolutely love it xox
This is a really neat business innovation, by taking something most people love and adding a healthier twist!
