He is the third founder of Airbnb and has joined the likes of Warren Buffet and Bill Gates in the ‘Giving Pledge’ and has agreed to give away most of his wealth to help kids make their dreams and ideas come to life. He has helped thousands to make dreams come to life. He was listed on Forbes list of richest entrepreneurs under 40 along with many other accolades.
I have only stayed in an Airbnb 1 time, but my experience was very good. The house or apartment is in great shape and it is very easy to rent. Also, compared to hotel rooms the price is not very different and sleeping in a house or apartment feels much more homely and is just a great experience. Lastly, the maturity Chesky shows by giving much of the money he has worked hard to attain to kids to achieve their dreams is something we could all learn from.
Ryan Chesky’s idea has changed the hotel market forever. No longer do guests looking for a place to stay have to pay the outrageous fees for staying at a hotel rather they can just get an Airbnb.
I love Airbnb for it’s competition with hotels. When my friends and I have to travel for weddings (#GroveCityProbz) a handful of us always get an airbnb together. It’s so much more cost effective, and much roomier. I also think it’s great that Chesky is giving back and helping others fulfill their dreams.
Airbnb is a great idea and good for Chesky with his massive success from the website. It’s easy and great for families, especially, who want to rent a house rather than have to stay at a hotel. And, in many cases renting a house is cheaper than a hotel!
I personally love Airbnb so it is no surprise to me that Ryan Chesky is so successful. I have stayed at multiple in the past 2 years and have never had an issue. I prefer this stay to a hotel when I am traveling in groups which I do often as a college student.
