What if passwords were a thing of the past? With Clef, your password for your business is a wave of lines. Yes as weird as it sounds, it’s true. Customers can log into your website with ease and you don’t have to worry about fraudulent accounts logging in. It reduces the likelihood of passwords being stolen or hacked. The fact that the password wave is randomized every 30 seconds really shows how important security is. If that isn’t enough to convince you, “when you log in with Clef, a 300 character signature is generated from a digital key stored on your phone.” (https://getclef.com/security/) The current CEO and co-founder B. Byrne prides his company pushing the forefront of password security. The best thing is that you just have to download the Clef app. Now you no longer have to remember your extremely long passwords with those irritating special ch@r@ct3r5 (characters).

Very interesting concept. It seems that we are getting so technologically advanced that it figures we must go to every aspect in our lives and ask the question, “how can we make this better?” I feel like thats what Clef does here. I have also seen something similar to this at work in my own home, we have a garage door with an opener that scrambles the password every time you go to open it.
This is really awesome. But my question is, how will the hacker community find this and how will the take this new challenge they have been given?
This sounds like something my family could really benefit from. I will look into it to see how they do pricing. I haven’t had a password of mine hacked yet but I really don’t want to take that risk.
I have never heard of anything like this before! This is such a unique way of looking at a problem that many of us have experienced. The fact that the wave is changed every 30 seconds seems like it would be a secure way of protecting against hackers. I will be interested to hear more about this in the future.
I like this concept because technology is constantly evolving, but the one thing that hasn’t really changed is password security. It seems like every few weeks a huge corporation says that they experienced a breach in security and user’s accounts were compromised. If someone could come up with a secure way to login to websites (which it seems like this could be), there would be a lot of money in it.
