The market for coffee is one that is excited and ever changing, but it can seem boring to the normal person. This is where Evan Hafer comes in. Black Rifle Coffee Company brings a new twist to how coffee is made and branded. Black Rifle Coffee is a veteran owned and operated company that strives to make great coffee for a great cause. Their website says they specialize in small batch coffee and have many different varieties of roasts and profiles. While I myself don’t usually drink coffee, many of my friends have drank Black Rifle Coffee and they love it and what the company stands for. Being a veteran owned company, many of the company’s objectives go towards serving the military, veterans and their families. In their mission statement, they have a vision for their company to hire ten thousand veterans to work and make a living outside of the military. On top of this, they have a fund called the BRCC Fund, which supports the military and first responders financially, as well as serving to help the environment. Hafer has created a truly inspiring and patriotic company that strives to help bring great coffee and great change to the United States. He is an inpsiration and shows what a little bit of ambition and a vision can do for young entrepreneurs.
I myself drink Black Rifle Coffee and I feel Evan Hafer is a great example of what an entrepreneur should be. Taking a large market and producing a quality product while also supporting a great cause will bring in tons of new costumers and his company and different charities/funds should be a model for others interested in this type of work.
This is cool because while it isn’t a new product, it’s a new way of doing that product. Instead of just some coffee brand, they are set apart by what they support and stand for.
Again, coffee is not something new, but it is a very nice and widespread product. Millions of people drink coffee and many support veterans and their service not to mention thoughts still currently doing service. Although there are a lot of other businesses doing the same thing but just supporting a different cause I think it is good that they are particular about their batches of coffee. Ensuring that they get the best coffee while also supporting a cause that they love. I love the idea and am glad to hear that those locally love it!
As the business world evolves, so too does the relationship between businesses and their consumers. As we discussed in class, the importance of explaining what your business stands for and what it’s mission is has become standard in the industry. This business has both a noble goal as well as a solid foundation to accomplish that goal. The best part is the recognition by a millennial entrepreneur of what it means to support veterans. Especially in a world where that is becoming less commonplace among the younger generations.
I love how Evan Hafer takes something as simple as coffee and turns it into something different. I drink Black Rifle Coffee and I love it! I think it is great how he has such a passion for veterans, and I appreciate how he incorporated that into his company. Knowing that just buying coffee is helping veterans makes me want to continue to support his business
