In 2012, a 13 year old lacrosse player named Rachel Zietz created Gladiator Lacrosse. Her idea stared when she was shopping for lacrosse products. She was very disappointed by the lack of quality, selection, and cost. She wanted to improve her performance s0, with her coaches encouragement she began playing wallball. All the products she purchased to help her practice fell apart in the outdoor weather or were very expensive. She participated in the Young Entrepreneur Academy Program which gave her the confidence to put her idea into action. She decided to make a business that sold high-quality lacrosse products for reasonable prices. She is very involved in her business and makes decisions on every product. She is involved in product concept, selecting materials, manufacturing, and packaging. She has a passion for lacrosse that is reflected in her business. Currently Rachel is a sophomore in high school and has been named All District Team and All Region Team for lacrosse. But this does not stop her from being the CEO of her company.
This story is so inspiring! It is really cool to see that someone as young as 13 can have vision and put it to action. It is also really cool to see that Rachel wanted to make a difference in the market that she is passionate about. She loves to play lacrosse, and finding a way to make that experience grow is something that can inspire many people.
