Catherine, a Grade 12 girl who loves science, invented a tiny device you connect to a cell phone that shows your heartbeat right on the screen. She entered it in a science fair with other kids from all over the world, and won third place. Using her invention, people can take a test called an Electrocardiogram. Her big idea could end up helping millions of people!
That’s a really interesting innovation! The possibilities for such a device that could be usable by the millions of cell phones worldwide are endless. Taking an extremely complicated and involved process (the electrocardiogram) and simplifying it to fit the needs of the many is definitely a strong entrepreneurial trait.
