Shawn Frayne is a name not many of us have even heard, but that does not mean he is not very successful. Shawn is a young entrepreneur that is helping world energy problems and does so by the creation of a device that can capture wind energy in places that normal wind turbines can not. When you think about it, wind is everywhere, and some of the windiest places it is nearly impossible to build a wind turbine to harvest the energy from the gales. That is where shawn comes into play, he developed a device that can places almost anywhere, from skyscrapers in the city, to the tops of bridges. This allows all that energy that can not be picked up by wind turbines, to be harvested and used to supply energy to tons of people. This is a true feat of entrepreneurial thinking, to bring a whole new means of harvesting energy to the table and maybe even help to retire the big tacky wind turbines that are scattered across the plains.
I like this idea because everyone associates wind turbines with farmland in the middle of nowhere because they are so ugly. To be able to capture energy without the clunky turbines currently used would revolutionize the way we consume energy and could slow the rate at which we use fossil fuels.
This sounds like a great idea. I’m curious as to what they look like. Anything that is smaller would be a welcome sight compared to the huge wind turbines that dot some of the most beautiful landscapes around the world.
Awesome to see someone taking initiative over a very real problem. I am interested to see how large they would be, I personally think wind turbines are beautiful to see in large fields so I wonder what the scaling of these is? Regardless, great post.
leave it to an entrepreneur to exploit the miniscule space atop bridges or skyscrapers as room for opportunity. Awesome story Caleb you are such a good guy i admire you and your hair
Growing up in California, there were a surprising number of wind turbines toward central California. It would be awesome to see those replaced by something that is more efficient and less of an eye sore. I am excited to see where this goes.
