Josh Shipp is a motivational speaker of sorts, or at least that’s what it would seem to someone looking in from the outside. To a struggling teenager, Josh is more like a savior.
Josh is on a mission, a mission to help adults understand teens, and teens understand themselves.
Josh is a public speaker, yes, but he is so much more. He has been featured on MTV, CNN, Oprah, the New York Times, Good Morning America, and even has his own TV documentary on Lifetime and A&E. He has spoken at universities like Stanford, UCLA, Harvard, and many more. He’s also written 2 books, one of which (Teens Guide to World Domination) is a best seller.mission is to help adults understand teens and teens understand themselves. His methods are entertaining and attention grabbing. He speaks about the hard truths and real life topics that are crucial to success.
As a foster kid himself, bouncing around from family to family, Josh knows what its like to be helpless and how much even the smallest loving gesture can mean.

I think his mission is really great. Adults and teens trying to understand one another is always a big challenge to overcome. Also, i think that there are may teens out there that struggle a lot with their identity and really need someone to help them pull through hardships. Shipp seems like someone who can really help both of these problems in a big way. Nice post.
Great inspirational speakers amaze me. It’s such a powerful thing to be able to change people’s lives in such a short amount of time. I wish him the best of luck!
I would be really interested to hear him speak. At first, I was wondering what exactly a book for teens about a guide for world domination would be about, but I think that his mission is absolutely a mission that we need someone to be on. This world of full of teens, and other aged humans who need inspiration, and a kind word. Bravo.
Very intriguing post, Spencer. I know sometimes there is difficulty between generations in understanding each other and I think that it is good that this book was written. Especially for helping teens find themselves. We live in a culture today where we are able to get lost in so many things and forget who we are as the people God has made us, and I think that this book could challenge teens in a way to find who they are. Great post, Spencer! 🙂
