Lebron James is probably the best basketball player we are going to see in a very long time. No one else possesses his overpowering athleticism and ability to score at will. But that’s not the only thing he has going for him. Since the beginning of his career he has made many sports deals with big companies that have given him the crown as “King James”. The biggest deal he made was with Nike, he’s going on to making his 20th version of Nike footwear.
Nike has given him the ability to market his name and this will have a lasting impact on the rest of his life. Even if he retired right now, he could still be making millions from his deals with Nike. In 2015, Lebron signed a lifetime endorsement deal with Nike, which will pay him over $1 billion by the time he’s 64. This shows us that he is much more than a basketball player and even more of a business man, he is truly the King.
I agree with you Kevin. Lebron will always be the king and the fact that he will be set until he is 64 shows that he is also a king at being an entrepreneur. I have been a customer of Lebron’s shoe line and I will continue to be.
Lebron is definitely more than just an athlete. He could give away all the money he has made from his basketball contracts and he would still be set from his endorsement deals with companies like Nike, Coca-Cola, and Beats. He is also a part owner of the company Blaze Pizza and made his own private school in his hometown of Akron. While everyone in the world knows Lebron as a basketball player, he is almost more involved in the business and social world than he is in the basketball world.
It is interesting how influential people can be to sports and how much companies are willing to pay for their advertisement. I think it was a great idea for Labron James to take this opportunity and i hope you makes a positive lasting impression on people. I also think that people who have the ability to make their own shoes or be on a commercial has to be more careful on what they do outside of the court or business life, it could make or break their career.
Crazy to see someone who knows how to be a leader in the court be such a poor leader when it comes to american freedom. I admire the way he plays, the way he practices, the way he uplifts the people that play around him. However, I do not think he should be openly making statements in regards to our relations with china, esp when he encourages people to not meet the president who most likely has the most knowledge about the situation at hand
