Stephanie Lemieux grew up in Sewickley Pennsylvania where she found her desires o simple things that made her feel warm and knew where she could make a difference for people. Her passion to make a difference has always been so important to her. She gives thanks to her parents for disciplining her in a way that she can be caring and attentive to others needs. A portion of the proceeds go to Austin’s Playroom Project, and the Mario Lemieux Research Foundation.
Little Moo is a company that sells the the softest blankets for infant to adults. While the company has been around for about a year, it took a little bit to get the name around. The main sales come out of online shopping, where it was difficult for the customers to be able to buy since the blankets are sold at an expensive price. Many buyers were unwilling to pay the price of $166 for a blanket without feeling and knowing the comfort of the material. However, many customers that have bought Little Moo say that it is well worth the price. The new company altered and changed their strategy to have more of a display for customers where they participate in Fairs and Booths in tradeshows. As of recent they just hit a huge growth point where the Pittsburgh Penguins accepted them into selling their products at PPG Arena.
I love what Stephanie did with this product, I have seen this product for adults and teenagers but not for babies. It has now become a product that will save a lot of parents money because when it is cold out they can use it as a sweatshirt but when they need it for inside it can be used as a blanket. Here is a young entrepreneur taking something that is already made and using it for a different purpose. Great idea and great product that will be successful!
This is a great example of innovation and creative sales strategies. Items like blankets are indeed hard to sell online because of the tangible aspect of the product. My mom’s business sells a interactive book that requires physical tough to activate. It is very difficult to display this product in stores without a demonstration of it’s features! Selling these products online requires intentional marketing and a good reputation.
I love how her passion is to make a difference and always has been. This product is very creativity!! I love how the portion of her proceeds go to Austin’s Playroom Project, and the Mario Lemieux Research Foundation!!
Very creativity and a great example of innovation!
