I think that airbnb was an ingenious idea. It is not only helping the customer, because they now have a less expensive place to stay, but it is also helping the person running the airbnb make money. This is a great entrepreneurial break through for both sides of the market.
This is a really interesting idea. It goes to show that there are still windows of opportunities even in markets that may seem to be mature such as the hospitality industry. It will be interesting to see how widely used this is among businesses as a way to save money.
I’ve heard of this name being thrown around, but never knew what Airbnb was. This is a great solution for millennials who often aren’t loaded with cash, who want to take a nice vacation and avoid staying in a sketchy hotel. I’d be interested to learn more about the founder of this company.
I think this is an awesome idea, and what makes it different from Travelocity and other companies like that is how you can actually stay at other peoples houses. However, no matter how trustworthy the company claims to be, I honestly do not think I could trust staying in another person’s home. The entire concept just slightly freaks me out. It’s similar to how Uber claims to be completely trust worthy, yet there are still some bad instances occasionally. Maybe I am old fashion, but I like the idea of using a travel agent instead who knows their stuff.
