Love Your Melon is an organization that is on a mission to give a hat to every child battling cancer in America. The organization was started in an entrepreneurship class by two friends named Zach and Brian in 2012. Zach and Brian were on a mission to help those in need and according to Zach “everything else came together.”
A huge part of Love Your Melon is the Campus Crew Program. Over 300 campuses, including Grove City are involved. These crews help raise awareness for childhood cancer and represent the brand through promotions and sales. These ambassadors also go visit children suffering from cancer and try to brighten their day by giving them a hat.

They make great Christmas presents and help support a great cause!
Seeing how Zach and Brian took the simple idea of helping those in need and turned it into such a big organization is inspirational. They are the epitome of what it means to be a world class entrepreneur!
I love this! LYM has such great marketing by allowing college students to participate in the cause. I love how their mission is to provide every child battling cancer with a hat- it is such a simple thing, but means so much and can provide families with so much encouragement. Great post!
LYM is great because it focuses on its mission first – making life better for children with cancer. By involving college students, they are able to grow extremely quickly without spending extra money so they can focus on solely providing hats to those who purchase them and the kids that need them.
When we bought one of these for mom, I didn’t know that a hat went to a child battling cancer. That definitely makes me want to buy more! I love the idea of helping others while still being successful, and it looks like that is what Love Your Melon is doing! Thanks for sharing!
very cool! always nice seeing a business give back to others!
I love the idea behind Love Your Melon! It’s awesome to see millennials start up a business that engages other millennials in their mission. Love Your Melon has blessed many, many children undergoing chemo – what a success!
