Matt Mullenweg is a very important person relating to the website we are currently using. He was born in Houston, Texas, where He did consulting work until moving to San Francisco. There, He worked with CNET Networks and eventually moved on to create Automattic. This company is what stands behind none other than WordPress, which he created at 19. Since his early years of adulthood Matt has been driven to create a simpler internet, which he certainly succeeded at. Matt has a plethora of skills from writing code to writing music. He is an avid photographer as well. In his autobiographical page, He accredits some of his success and development to his teachers growing up, and lists them to be recognized.
Matt has been dedicated to WordPress, though he did not stop there. He has been involved in other companies and products such as WooCommerce, The Atavist, and Simplenote. He also has been involved in startup investment in companies through His own company called Audrey Capital. This is another way Matt has found out how to help people with their work, and subsequently help more people through that. Matt is very entrepreneurial in the sense that he set out to solve a problem and make the internet a more convenient space. He has been widely successful and has given back to the community as well. Matt supports many charities spread across a wide range of issues. Organizations from Alaska Wilderness League and charity: water, to John Hopkins and the Innocence Project. As you can see Matt Mullenweg is a thinker and a doer, he gives back, and he creates. Matt Mullenweg is inspiring to me with his creativity and knack for helping others. Matt factors his heart into entrepreneurship, and I believe that is part of why He is so successful. Matt Mullenweg truly cares.
Good example of someone with entrepreneurial thinking. His impact can definitely be seen by the large number of people who use WordPress for its user-friendly distinctives.
