Moziah Bridges was nine years old when he started making bowties. His granny fueled his start and taught him how to create his elegant bows. And now as an eighteen-year-old he has traveled the word, encouraging children to start their own businesses. He has been hosted on many shows and has partnered with large businesses. Some of the shows he has been on includes Shark Tank, Steve Harvey Show, and Good Morning America. One of his larger partners was the NBA in 2015. He got to partner with the whole Basketball Association in 2017 and made bowties for all thirty teams. It was also in this year that Bridges got to present the then president Obama with his own tie. Bridges’s current company Mo’s Bows only has five employees. Most of these few employees are his family members. His mother is now the one to carefully select and tweak what fabric is used in their ties. His company now sells regular ties, as well as hats, to fill out his portfolio. He also sells his first book which is an instruction book on how to create your own businesses. Because of Bridges running his own company, he is able to create and run unique opportunities. He has gone and raised thousands of dollars to help children get into summer camps. He wants to help kids tap into their passions when they are young. Bridges says his goal is to help men look fashionable and fun. He wants, to grow, each day to be better then the last. His bows are elegant and bright. He now gets to run that dream through his shop and his thousands of customers.
I can’t imagine starting my business at nine years old! That’s crazy. Even with existing products, Moziah was able to put something unique compared to other bow ties. Now with his knowledge, he is able to help other nine-year-olds with their passions. It’s great to see how his business has been going on for so long, and how his family helps him. It’s not about just building his future, but also helping others to build their future, and that’s truly inspirational.
