Imagine writing a program in your basement. You think it’s pretty innovative, so you contact some people about it. You’re proud of your work. Then one day, you get a call and find yourself meeting with a tech company. 42 minutes and 39 seconds later, they decide to purchase your program in the form of a check worth 3 Billion dollars.
Kevin O’Leary is a vicious and wise venture capitalist, but also a very prominent Entrepreneur who also helps out other Entrepreneurs. You may know of him from the show “Shark Tank”. His work is impressive, and he’s indirectly helped our country by fueling young and old Entrepreneurs alike by investing in their ideas. Even when he believes an idea is terrible, he will flat-out tell people to their face, and even at that point they learn something about what it takes to create a successful business.
Mr Wonderful is a role model of mine. He is very self-disciplined when it comes to money. Kevin O’Leary gives hope for the American Dream, and he is a good example of how smart spending and saving overtime are powerful tools in the Entrepreneur’s belt. May we all learn from this man.
Nice post! I honestly wonder where entrepreneurship would be today without this man. Sometimes honesty is the most important thing for an entrepreneur to hear.
I never knew Mr. Wonderful’s background, so that was a cool piece of information! Mr. O’Leary is tough and gives people a run for their money. He says it like it is. It’s good to hear that he is self-disciplined with handling money and that he’s your role model. We can all learn something from those who we look up to as successful.
Good to see the importance of honesty in business, and what an impact this man has had on entrepreneurship. I also like the last sentence a lot.
