Nick Gray grew up in New Hampshire and built a strong educational foundation before his entrepreneurial journey. He grew up attending Philips Exeter Academy. Philips Exeter Academy is a very prestigious preparatory school which built a strong foundation for Nick to go off of before college. He then decided to further his education at Cornell University and study Science in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. He attained his Bachelors degree within just three years even earning magna cum laude. He then went to Stanford University to get his masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering. All of this intense and rigorous education provided him with critical problem solving skills and analytical thinking that would eventually help him through his entrepreneurial ventures.
After his educational journey he took a job in engineering. He worked at Pratt &Whitney, he played a crucial role in designing turbine blades for military aircraft. He was very successful in this career path but wanted to do something that would have tangible impact on his communities. This want for physical impact had a major impact on his entrepreneurial impact.
In 2017, Nick bought a duplex in New Hampshire intended to lessen his housing costs. Going through this process ignited a passion for real estate. He then went on to buying another place and attaining his real estate license. He then decided to leave his good income job and take a risk as being and into real estate full-time. Nick then started Gray Property Group which took off very quickly. In 2021 this firm has grown to manage over 50 renovated apartments that are valued at $9 million and oversees properties totaling $30 million.
Now Nick Gray is a first Lieutenant in the New Hampshire Air National Guard and a member of multiple municipal boards as well as leading his real estate group. Nick Gray won won U.S Small Business Administrations Young Entrepreneur of the Year.
Oh my goodness, Yoder, I can’t fathom how absolutely stellar this blog post is!! It’s fantastic that he pursued another career even after being a successful engineer. I know there can be a lot of opportunities in real estate, so it’s excellent that Gray became very prosperous in this area of work as well. 😉
