Rachel Zietz created Gladiator Lacrosse at 13 years old. While playing Lacrosse, she found her equipment to be too expensive and not durable. After attending the Young Entrepreneurs Academy in Boca Raton, Florida she pitched her idea to investors. She received $2,700 to develop her idea. Rachel used this money to create a line of inexpensive and durable lacrosse gear. In her company’s first year, it had over $200,000 in sales! Two years later, it had generated over 1 million dollars in revenue! Rachel was recently honored as one of the finalists for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s 2015 Entrepreneur award.
Cool that she addressed a problem that was so applicable to her, and was able to find such great success at a young age!
Pretty cool to see a kid address issues in gear that adults paid to think of couldn’t.
