Hailey Bieber is famously known for her presence on the cover of magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and more. She is also known for her presence on runways of fashion brands such as Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Saint Laurent, and Jimmy Choo. Now, she is known as an entrepreneur with the launch of her skincare brand, Rhode, in June 2022. Her skincare essentials are known for nourishing the skin barrier and leaving it radiant. She originally wanted to trademark the name Bieber Beauty in spring of 2019, but it faced rejection, so she named it Rhode after her middle name. Her vision was incorporate high-performance ingredients that were vegan, cruelty-free, gluten-free, and dermatologist-tested and did not want to add ingredients that would harm the skin or environment. She wanted her products to have a focus on hydration because no matter what skin type you have; hydration is really important she says. Every single product went through multiple iterations. On June 8th, 2022, Rhode made its official debut with three products: the Peptide Glazing Fluid, the Barrier Restore Cream, and the Peptide Lip Treatment. The brand has made partnerships with online retailers such as Sephora, Cult Beauty, Mecca, and Net-a-Porter. It has also introduced new products to the product lineup. Rhode Skin sales reached eight figures within 11 days of selling. She wants to expand t0 new categories such as body care, hair care, and makeup. Hailey wants to transform Rhode into a lifestyle brand that empowers people to feel confident and beautiful in their skin. I personally do not have products from Rhode Beauty, but from many reviews I have seen, people absolutely love her products, and they have worked well for their skin. I also love the branding and simple packaging of the products. This is definitely on my list of new products to try out.
I think her ability to use her platform for leverage into selling her product. The ability to find a niche market and focus to selling with vegans in mind is a really good marketing strategy as finding your niche market is great for expanding and growing your business and focusing on what you want and with her following, she will have customers, so she just has to focus on improving and making products. This is why have a social presence as a business owner is so good as her just being her is marketing and that’s a great way to live.
I’ve seen so much on ‘rhode’ and I can’t help but find it so aesthetic. I’m really interested in what she will launch especially as a new face to the cosmetic/skincare industry.
