As a three time entrepreneur who sold a company for $300,000 in 2019 while studying in college, Robert Luo is an aspiring, young entrepreneur with a great solution to an overlooked problem. In 2018, Robert went to visit his uncle’s farm in China. One of the biggest things he noticed was the amount of milk waste on the farm. His uncle informed him that this is actually a problem at every big farm in the area. Before leaving, his uncle challenged Robert to find a solution to this problem. His idea was to turn the milk waste into by-product. He calls the company Mi Terro.
Robert created this company in order to turn milk waste into plastic-alternative biomaterials. On their website, they give an in-depth look at what they are doing. By providing information on how much food is wasted per year, the company does a great job of getting the viewers attention. The film they create is home compostable, ocean degradable, and way cheaper than other biomaterials. Robert’s company is proof that with the right idea, anything can be accomplished.

I found this concept interesting because I never realized that there was that much waste from milk. It was also very interesting to read how they turn the waste into biomaterials.
Very informative post. I like that you gave plenty of information on when, where and how Robert Luo found a need. What a fascinating idea for a company! Great blog post and I like that you added a link to the company website.
