Shamari Walker founded his company at age 15. Originally intended to showcase his development skills and make peoples lives easier, Walker’s company began as a small, local company that has since grown into AscuniaTech LLC, nationally organization. AscuniaTech LLC is a launchpad for prospective developers, the company works to help them through the software development, hardware development, website development, tech support, customer satisfaction, promotional processes. He has also founded a separate organization focused on teaching Computer Science to highschoolers in his city for free.
Not only did Walker found AscuniaTech LLC while in highschool, he was a particularly involved and accomplished student. His titles included varsity chess player, football and baseball technician, and trumpet and baritone player. Balancing such a busy schedule in addition to running a company and attending conferences likely was not easy, making his academic achievements that much more impressive. Somehow, Walker maintained a 4.01 GPA average and received funding to cover a full ride to Purdue University where he is now a senior.
Walker’s story is particularly impactful as the journey of someone overcoming their circumstances, finding their talents, and utilizing them to help others not just themselves. Each of his products seems to encourage connection and fostering encouragement between people, something that is often overlooked in a hyperactive, modern society.
This is such an inspiring story. How Walker was able to start his business while juggling school and all his extra curriculars is incredible. This was no simple business either! Tech companies are complex and detailed. It is always cool to see how this young entrepreneur uses his talents to benefit others!
