Imagine you own your own small business. You are just about to get your entire company up an running, but you realize that there is one more small program you need before you can launch the business of your dreams. However, you do not have the knowledge to create the program on your own or the funds to reach out to one of the large companies to help you with your problem. Enter Smart IT, a business created by Alexander Kulitski and some of his fellow students that allows for custom computer applications to be made for small to medium businesses. Their company has been extremely profitable.
One of the most encouraging things about this business to me is the fact that a single person had an idea and was able to attack it head on with such success and such a young age. They show courage to go and achieve their goal. Before starting Smart IT they had failed two times previously, but that didn’t stop them from pursuing their childhood goal of owning their own business and doing something they loved.
Another thing that I found interesting was the insight they had at such a young age. In an interview Alexander was asked about growth advice for an early company and he responded that you may want to take as many job offers as possible, but you need to look ahead. So give up short term gains for to rather do more strategic and influencing projects.
This is encouraging to me as I think about different dreams I have about impacting the community around me. I love that this company conveys the importance of giving up immediate jobs for the sake of putting a lot of effort into one’s own goals.
