Teen entrepreneur Trey Brown started his luxury clothing brand Spergo while still in high school. Originally from Philadelphia, Brown has become quite successful in building out his brand and is now opening in a variety of stores, even opening his own in Washington D.C. One of his store managers commented on the quality of the clothing, “everything is embroidered”. The quality sweater line focuses on bold colors, soft cotton fabrics, and a tampered, tailored fit. Brown starts off every day by affirming himself with affirmations such as: “I’m powerful. I’m strong. I’m a leader. I’m a billionaire.” While the last part isn’t true as of yet, the routine is important to Brown and helps him get in the right mindset for taking on the day. His designs have even caught the attention of some athletes and rappers. Logo of the company is a lion which is supposed to invoke feelings of strength in each of Brown’s customers. His aim with the company was initially to help kids in his area choose another path than the violence they aften got caught up in.

Really cool to see someone try and help kids who are in a rough neighborhood or have been exposed to violence. Those kids would be thrilled if they saw their favorite athletes or rappers wear the same thing as them. The clothes also have a great message that can be spread to everyone.
I actually just watched this kid on shark tank, and it was amazing. His business mind is way beyond his years, and he has a bright future ahead of him. The clothing is something I would definitely wear. It was high quality for someone as young as him. The mindset of self-affirmation is a cool side to his story too. It is important to have that kind of mindset when leading a business. From what I’ve seen this kid knows his stuff and will most likely become a billionaire if he keeps it up.
This kid trey decided to create clothes that look cool and are in style and the rest is history. I also have seen these clothes online and I would no doubt rock the clothes. I love to see famous rappers and athletes wear these clothes and this clothing brand success goes to show us that when you can make clothes to a certain audience, many times this can be successful.
Brown is an excellent example of an entrepreneurial mindset. Not only does he align himself to his goals and aspirations, but he also strives to invoke the same confidence and dedication in his customers. Brands like Spergo that aspire to do good in the world (such as giving local kids an alternate option from violence) often have a much longer lasting popularity than those which do not.
Trey’s story is every bit of inspirational. I particularly like the fact he tells himself that he is a billionaire and can be used as an example of “speaking it into existence.” I also like the fact that many famous influencers and athletes are starting to wear Spergo in hopes to push the message that Spergo is working to help kids raised around violence and in communities with a lot of crime.
