William Zhou is the mind behind the revolutionary software that is transforming how teachers create their classroom experience. Zhou’s goal is to streamline and help those who are pouring into future generations. In his own words, “I had always thought that teaching is an easy job. I thought teachers taught from a textbook and got 3 months off in a year. It wasn’t until I visited my own high school teachers that I realized it’s not the case. They were struggling with an overwhelming amount of work” (Forbes.com). Chalk.com assists teachers with the day to day tasks, freeing them up to focus more on their interactions with students. Zhou’s focus is to improve the classroom experience both for the teacher and the student.
Teachers do have a much harder job than they are given credit for. I like the idea of some website that helps them to succeed in their job of helping future generations of people succeed, but I am still unsure of what the website actually does. The post needs to be elaborated on.
I agree with the previous comment. I wish there was more information about what the site actually does. I think it’s a great business idea though! Taking some of the burden of busywork off of teachers would give them more time to focus on making lessons and actually educating kids. Better education means smarter kids, and smarter kids means a more well off country, so I hope this is effective for teachers.
It’s great to see someone who cares about the people that have provided him with his individual knowledge. It is selfless of him to use that knowledge to help his teachers and other teachers throughout the world.
