WhistlinDiesel is a successful youtube channel that is owned by Cody Detwiler. Originally the channel was made for doing crazy stunts with older vehicles. With an experienced background in mechanics, Cody used his skills and was passionate about making interesting content with trucks. He would put on the crazy 3-foot-wide tires on an old truck and test drive the vehicle. After having much attention to this video, he continued to do interesting additions to older vehicles.
Eventually, he had enough support where he bought a 100k truck. With the support he has now, he drives these expensive vehicles and runs them to the ground by doing crazy stunts. He would get the vehicles stuck in ponds, bury vehicles, and push the vehicles to the limit. The cars that people dream to have are what he destroys to make content. In one video, he buys a brand new Mercedes G wagon and then beats it up with a sledgehammer. He also recently released a video testing the Cyber truck and compared it with the ford f-150. His video showed the flaws of the CyberTruck. With this crazy content, his videos get millions of views.
Cody Detwiler has successfully created a community of car fanatics and turned his YouTube channel into a thriving business. His channel has 8.6 million subscribers and over 1 billion views with just 126 videos. His videos are entertaining as he destroys expensive vehicles. He also does durability tests on vehicles. WhistlinDiesel also sells merch like any other youtuber. However, Cody recently talked about how his merch is different. He explains how he is tired of buying clothing that is cheap material and shrinks easily. His merchandise will be expensive, but people are getting what they are paying for. The material is strong, and less likely to shrink. Cody also offers free returns and replacements if there is anything wrong with their product. WhistlinDiesel is a successful company founded by a young entrepreneur that turned his passion into his career.
This is a crazy concept! At first, I did not think many people would be interested in these types of videos. I’m surprised that his channel makes enough money to cover the costs of all those cars. I did like how you wrote about his progress. It was cool to see how his career progressed and developed into what it is today. The section about his merch is interesting. I feel like people who become well-known on any social media platform get distracted by their fame and oftentimes forget about their fans but I appreciate how he wants his fans to get what they pay for!
I have watched a ton of his YouTube videos, they are amazing. My favorite one is when he pushes giant tires down a hill and tries to smash a car at the bottom. Cody is a great example of someone who had a passion for something, found a market, and then ran with it. He is passionate about cars and mechanics. He discovered that people love to see crazy custom vehicles and watch cars get destroyed. Sometimes all it takes is adding a little twist to your passion and then boom, you have a successful YouTube channel and business.
