Louis-Victor Jadavji co-founded Wiivv in the summer of 2014, with a focus on wellness and 3D-printing. His company (pronounced “weave”) focused on 3D-printing custom insoles and sandals based on precise measurements of their customers’ feet. Wiivv now has a team of 30 people in Vancouver and San Diego, where they continue to add to and improve the design of their products. In 2015, Jadavji made it onto Forbes’ 30 Under 30 list for Manufacturing and Industry, the youngest on the list at 22. Truly, people of all ages are able to make a difference in the business world, whether that be through startups or other activities.
This is awesome. I feel like this is such a wonderful market to go into. Between the growth of 3D printing and a desire for high quality shoes that are both comfortable and functional. I think this individual and his ideas are going to go far. I think too he is going to be successful with this idea with elderly people and their need for custom orthotics to better their wellness and comfort of life.
It’s so inspiring that he’s using technology that is on the horizon and utilizing it to improve something that has existed forever. That’s something that young entrepreneurs need to be able to do! Nice post!
The possibilities with 3D printing seem endless. A great idea to mass produce such a product as well. The shoe market is huge is well, great potential!
