Sofi Overton – Wise Pocket

Meet Sofi Overton, a young entrepreneur who found a wonderful new way for girls to store their phones when they are wearing leggings. Sofi started her company– Wise Pocket– when she began noticing how her older cousin had to put her phone in her socks when she was wearing leggings.

Sofi took this thought and ran with it as she designed socks that have pockets high up on the sock that prevents the phone from falling down the wearer’s legs. Not only that, but Sofi also designed leggings that had pockets big enough for an individuals phone, while keeping the wearer comfortable.

Her good business is not as impressive as her kind heart as she donates a pair of socks to homeless kids and people with every pair that is purchased. This all started because of the numerous number of people in school district alone who live without a home: 627.

Sofi’s mission to make socks and leggings for active kids like her has transformed into a business that has not stopped selling. She currently has three designs that are coming soon in her legging line and socks that are simple but fashionable.

Furthermore, she sells hats and hoodies to increase her business. Sofi has done a wonderful job starting her own business.

Brandon and Sebastian Martinez – Are You Kidding

Are You Kidding SocksMeet two brothers, Brandon (13) and Sebastian (11) Martinez. These two young entrepreneurs had a crazy idea that started back in 2014 to start designing and then selling socks. This company started with the two brother’s passion to draw and design colorful designs and then selling them to individuals. Their selling spirit was not only to sell their fun and brightly colored socks, but to also help raise funds and awareness to charities in their local area as well as around the nation. Some of these charities include; Stand Up To Cancer, JDRF, Autism Speaks and so many more. 

They both find it very important to help initiate and inspire kids to help the community around them: and they lead by example. The brothers partnered with schools and charities in order to help provide annual fundraisers to benefit those around them. They both want their story to inspire those around them to pursue their dreams and help people along their journey.

Hannah Grace – BeYOUtiful

Hannah Grace was like many other young children who loved to run around and play with her friends. From a very young age she determined to do set her little heart upon: not may could tell her otherwise. Her father told her that she would be a CEO or entrepreneur one day as long as she used her determination and work ethic in the right way. On January 1, 2016 Hannah and her family drove to Hannah’s favorite health and beauty store. Her father then challenged her to make and sell the products she loved so much in order that she could drive her entrepreneurial spirit. Game on!

Within weeks Hannah was selling her products in a local gift shop and online. Now Hannah sells her products in 8 retail outlets in two states. She is not only a good entrepreneur but a generous person. She has chosen to donate 20% of all online sales to JDRF. For her, that is over $5,000.

She calls her brand BeYOUtiful because she wants people to be themselves; this is where she believes true beauty lies. At the age of 10 she is proving that she can do it all. Nothing has stopped her yet and she believes nothing can. Best of luck to her as she continues to grow her business.

JELANI JONES-LANI BOO BATH

Meet Jelani Jones. As a young girl Jelani wanted to start her own business. At the age of 9, she started Lani Boo Bath from a love of being creative. This also stemmed from her bath products and this gave her a wonderful idea. Why not put the two of them together and make a profit. Many years of visiting local farmer’s markets and trying figure out how to make her products perfect, Lani Boo Bath was born. Her support is not just local, but goes world wide. She now tries to inspire other young entrepreneurs as she sells her products on her website and at trade shows in which she can participate.

She has handcrafted all-natural soaps infused with essential oils, bathMonkey Farts perfect blend of banana and mango image 0 bombs an explosion of soothing aromatherapy and moisture-rich ingredients in your bath. All of these things can be found on her website under their respective tabs. Her bath bombs sell for around $4.50 US. Her soaps range from the price of $3.50 to $21.90. This is very impressive for her as she has done an excellent job selling her products. I wish her the best of luck and hope she continues to have success.

Nic Bianchi – Bianchi Candle Co.

Meet Nic Bianchi; he is a 16 year old kid with quite a bit of ambition. At the age of 12 Nic created a candle using his passions of science and math. His family is from a small little town in Itaitaly-map-2.pngly. The town of Grondola is tucked in a small hills of Tuscany region in Northern, Italy. This area is well known for its crafting famous craftsmanship– the ancient Pante Ai Chiosi bridge. Nic, with the support of his family, has put his heart and care into his candle making craft. He loves working hard to create his natural soy candle in which he puts scents and colors into.

Everything Nic has created is nic-circle-photo-2.pngfrom his area even down to the locally hand poured wax for his candles: Papillion, NE. However, all of his inspiration is  comes from his heritage and roots. Nic prides his company on the fact that his candles are all natural soy wax, has some of the highest quality fragrances, and makes sure the candle burns longer and cleaner than other competing candles. Nic loves every part of what he does.

All of Nic’s products are priced around $20.00 for candles and $15.00 just for the wax replenishes. His products can be found in quite a few places in Nebraska. Besides being in 15 stores, the Bianchi Candle Company has a very nice and easy to navigate website. Nic is also very charitable as proceeds are donated in order to help clean up from flood efforts in Missouri and Nebraska. This young entrepreneur is a true inspiration and has worked very hard in order to get two where he is today.

Cory Nieves: Mr. Cory’s Cookies

Cory Nieves is a started his business at 6 years old back in 2010. His business came about because he wanted to stop taking a school bus to school. Instead, he wanted to have his mother drive him. There was one problem Cory and his mother faced with what Cory had proposed; his mother did not have a car. Cory got creative and decided to raise money by selling hot chocolate in his hometown: Englewood, New Jersey. His mother Lisa kept encouraging him as she saw his drive to succeed in this business. She told him that he should continue selling his hot chocolate so that he may be able to go to college. Cory took those words to heart and then began to expand his business. He started selling lemonade and homemade cookies, which took months in order to learn.

Eventually, Cory and his mother Lisa found the perfect cookie and that launched his entire business to where it is today. Their pitch; all their cookies are all-natural and made from high-quality, ingredients. Cory and his mother have since expanded the line of cookies offered which now include Double Dark, Oatmeal Raisin, and Sugar cookies. They plan on making move kinds of cookies in order to reach a wider verity of customers.

Cory has been able to succeed due to his hard work, determination, and the help of quite a few other companies. This very impressive list includes Aetna, Barney’s, Bloomingdales, Citibank, J. Crew, Macy’s, MercedeCombo: 2 Dozen Cookiess-Benz, Pottery Barn, Ralph Lauren, TOMS, Viacom, Whole Foods, Williams-Sonoma and now our partner, Mr. Marcus Lemonis. However, Cory has not stopped there as he is also partnered with non-profit business such as Children’s Aid Society in New York City in order to help those less fortunate than himself. He is a true inspiration to entrepreneurs and people everywhere.
