Hoaka Swimwear

Instagram is being taken by storm by the young entrepreneur, Elisabeth Rioux. She now has 1.7 million followers and that number is still growing.

She was only 18 when she started her bathing suit company, Hoaka Swimwear. Her goal for this company is to inspire body positivity. She made it her mission to create an atmosphere for all women to feel good in their own skin and in her swimsuits. One way she does this is by having girls model her swimwear, who all have different body types. This breaks the mold of the typical swimsuit model, showing girls that anyone can be beautiful in their own skin. This is how Elisabeth has branded her company, which has most certainly paid off.

What differentiates her swimsuits from others on the market is the material they are made from. They are made with neoprene. This is the same material that wet-suits are made out of, meaning that they will last a long time and are also very flattering on many body types.

Elisabeth Rioux just launched a new branch of her company, which sells underwear. This company is called Bamboo Underwear. She is branding this company by saying that it is the most comfortable underwear out there. Just like her other company, her products are designed with a very different kind of fabric. Her products are made from bamboo fabric, which has unique properties such as a cooling effect, is softer than cotton, and is allergen free.

Although Elisabeth Rioux is still a very young entrepreneur, she has built an empire for herself by promoting body positivity and making sure her products stand out from anything you’ve seen before.

Buzzings Around The Dating World

After co-founding one of the world’s most popular dating apps, Whitney Wolfe Herd refused to be silent about some of the issues she had discovered about this app. While using Tinder, she experienced sexual harassment and later decided to sue Tinder because of this. A long battle began along with hate mail, threatening her life from total strangers causing her to leave Tinder and her home. She never wanted to be in the dating industry again until she reconnected with Andreev, owner of the world’s largest dating network, reaching over 190 countries. He saw her potential years prior and reached out to this young entrepreneur, now age 25. When discussing their new dating site ideas, Whitney asked, “What if women make the first move, send the first message? And if they don’t, the match disappears after 24 hours, like in Cinderella, the pumpkin and the carriage? It’d be symbolic of a Sadie Hawkins dance–going after it, girls ask first. What if we could hardwire that into a product?” This question has shaped how their site has been developed, gearing it towards women and keeping the app safer to use. The way the site is set up also eliminates most of the nude photos lurking within most of other online dating sites, making the searching aspect an unpleasant experience. Whitney and Andreev decided to name their new company Bumble, which received over 100,000 downloads within the first month. The company is now a billion dollar business, with over 12.5 million users. It has expanded to platonic friendships, which Tinder has now also implemented. Even though Whitney Wolfe Herd went though a terrible experience with her past company, her past experiences have led her to the company that finally puts women first in the dating world, opening the door to a different way of viewing dating apps.

Legacies that Live Past Death

How many people want to inherit an urn filled with their great grandmother’s ashes to remember her by or pay for a headstone that will eventually sit lonely on a plot of land? How can we honor those who have passed, who mean so much to us? When Adelle Archer, 27-year-old entrepreneur lost her beloved business mentor passed away, she decided how to honor her after death. Archer said, “She’d had such a huge impact on me, I wanted to do something for her that felt as special as she was.”

She started a business which turns your loved one’s ashes into diamonds that can be set into a beautiful ring or an elegant necklace. Interesting enough, this can only be done because ashes consist of carbon, which is also one of the main elements in precious stones. The customer can decide upon the weight, color, cut, and what type of jewelry they would like. Her business, Eterneva, only needs a cup of ashes to create the diamond whereas a normal urn that sits upon your mantle holds eight times that amount. This whole process can take as little as eight months to complete.

Eterneva keeps their customers well informed on the process of creating the diamonds, assigning each individual client a representative of the company because they recognize that they are handling one of the most important things to people in the world. The diamonds created be Eterneva are actually more expensive than natural diamonds grown in the ground. It costs about $7,000 to have one of these special diamonds made, only giving you a 0.5 carat diamond. Even though this process is quite pricy, the company had $280,000 in sales in 2017.

Adelle Archer wanted to change the relationship between people an the loss of loved ones, which she is accomplishing through her company. “A diamond lasts more than a single generation, the way an urn of ashes won’t,” she says “Nobody wants to inherit that, but they of course want to inherit their great-grandfather’s diamond.” This new take on honoring the dead has captivated those who have lot someone close to them, giving them a way to keep them close to their hearts at all times.

Not Your Typical Lemonade Stand

Mikaila Ulmer, a young entrepreneur, was just 4 years old when she started her own lemonade business called Me and the Bees.

We all remember squeezing a few fresh lemons, dumping cups of sugar into a big pitcher and sitting by the road, hoping for our first sale. At the end of the day, breaking even would have been an accomplishment. Mikaila had a different idea on how a lemonade business should be executed. She entered a children’s business competition and began to brainstorm on what her idea might be. As the wheels were turning, she thought about the time she was stung by a bee and the cookbook she had just received from her grandmother, which included a recipe for flaxseed lemonade. Fascinated with bees, she began to learn more about these little creatures that make life a little sweeter. As her ideas developed, she decided to incorporate her passion for bees to her grandmother’s lemonade recipe. She developed a lemonade company that includes flaxseed as a main ingredient and substitutes natural honey for its sweetness instead of sugar, which appeals to people who understand the health benefits of flaxseed and honey. Also, she donates a percentage of her profits to local and international organizations fighting hard to save honeybees. Her mission is to “Buy a Bottle… Save a Bee.” Mikaila (age 9) also pitched her idea for “Me and the Bees” on the popular TV show, Shark Tank and received a $60,000 investment from Daymond John. Her publicity has grown immensely and has attracted attention and support from big businesses, such as Whole Foods Market, who is now selling her product across the USA. Being that this is one of the largest organic food companies, this is a huge step for this young entrepreneur. You can now purchase her lemonade off the shelves of different natural food companies like Gelson’s, Wegmans, and Natural Grocers. You can also purchase merchandise off of her website to support her mission to save the bees. This young girl, who is now 13 years old, has proven herself to be an innovative entrepreneur in a new world of business by reinventing the stereotypical lemonade stand.   https://youtu.be/mfDdJCraMSc
