Mo’s Bows

After being disappointed in the bow ties available to him on the market, a fashion-forward, 9-year-old Moziah Bridges learned how to sew his own with the help of his grandmother. He began selling his bow ties on Etsy and his products were soon picked up by boutiques in several states. On top of his business success, Bridges was invited to the inaugural White House Demo Day, where he was able to personally meet President Obama and gift him with a special “Obama blue” Mo’s Bow. Bridges, who was mentored by Shark Tank’s Daymond John, is now 14 years old and serves as the CEO of Mo’s Bows handmade bow ties, a Memphis based, family-run business.

As an avid bow tie wearer myself, it is amazing to hear this story of a 9 year old sew his own, and make them into a product people want to buy over others.

Headboy Industries

Ludwick Marishane

25, South Africa

Founder, Headboy Industries

Marishane was in high school when he came up with DryBath, a gel that does all the work of a bath without water. Within a year, he launched Drybath with his company Headboy Industries. He had previously tried his hand at business with his own brand of biodiesel, healthy cigarettes and a security magazine. The idea for DryBath was inspired by a friend of Marishane’s who was too lazy to bath. “Why doesn’t someone invent something that you can put on your skin and then you don’t have to bathe?” asked the friend. Marishane, born in Limpopo, was voted the best student entrepreneur in the world by the Entrepreneurs’ Organisation. Google named him as one of the most intelligent young brains in the universe.

What an idea to have a bath without any water? It would be interesting to see how it all works and truly how clean it gets people. Also does it take a lot of time? or less time? Will it be brought to the united states?
