Destiny Snow is a very successful young entrepreneur who owns the business called SnowGlam collection. This is an online company that sells beauty products to women. One thing that stood out to me was how she handled the COVID situation regarding her business. Constantly being stuck at home made her realize that she needed to focus on growing her company. She did this by the help of a social media influencer named Ari Fletcher. She tagged her on her Instagram story, and Destiny instantly saw how big of an impact that had on her business. She said her phone started blowing up with orders as soon as Ari posted on her story and that was the spark her business needed. I thought this was a very clever of way of getting exposure. It was pretty much genius as it immediately reached her target marker which are primarily teenage girls who love to shop. Another thing that I found really impressive was the number of sales she had for her online business. It was an astounding amount of over one million dollars over the course of two years. If Destiny keeps working the way she is and utilizing social media, I think she still has more room for growth and expansion. The most inspiring part of this story was how she used COVID to help strive her business to where she is at today. Instead of letting the pandemic hold her business back, she optimized this as an opportunity to really focus on social media as her main way of connecting to her customers.

Ben Pasternack is an Australian technology entrepreneur, and he is the CEO of three businesses. The three businesses he runs are called simulate, flogg, and monkey. It all started when he was just 14 and got bored in his science class so he decided to create a fun app to pass the time. He created the app called “impossible rush” and this had over 2 million downloads. The best part of his story was what he put in his locker at the end of eight grade that read “If you’re reading this, you really f—ed up.” He said he wanted to never go to school again and wanted to make money with his apps. His most successful business is called simulate and his signature product is NUGGS which is a plant-based nugget simulation. I thought that his story was very interesting because he was not the type of kid to pay attention in any of his classes in school. I respect how he found what he was good at and just focused on that when starting his own businesses. His journey is inspiring because at the young age of 16 he had to move from Australia to the United States by himself. He said there were times he felt very lonely but fought through it by focusing on his passion of developing new apps. I also thought it was clever how he uses different social media platforms to reach his customers. He takes full advantage of the web so he can optimize his success for each of the businesses he owns.

Moziah Bridges

Moziah Bridges is a young entrepreneur, and his business is called “Mo’s Bows”. He started his business when he was just nine years old. He started it because he wanted a suitable bow tie and didn’t find anyone that he liked so he decided to make his own. This started the creation of his colorful bowties where he would use leftovers from his grandmother’s sewing projects. Ever since he learned how that skill, he mastered it, and it inspired him to start his own business. I was amazed how at that young of an age that he could put his time and dedication towards sewing and making bow ties. While on his site, I thought that his bow ties were very creative and unique, and I also noticed he also did neckties and squares with cool designs. What I found most interesting about the growth of Moziah’s business was that he appeared on shark tank at the age of 11 and actually made a deal with one of the sharks. He was fortunate enough to have Daymond John as a mentor that would guide him to leading a successful business. He was mature enough to realize that there was always room for improvement and listened to all the advice Daymond has given him thus far. In my opinion, this is when his business took the next step, and he has generated over 200,000 dollars with the sales of his ties. I also like how he is never complacent and is always looking to improve. His ultimate goal is to make his business a multimillion-dollar company and I think he can achieve this if he keeps on working the way he is.

The young entrepreneur who I found is named Kenan Pala and he created his business called kids4community. This is a non-profit organization that works with charitable organizations that engage children who are five years or older. The purpose of this is to introduce the concept of charitable work to young kids. One thing I found interesting is how he came up with this business idea. He said in an interview that he was on a leisurely run with his dad and had an “aha moment” when he saw people aiding a baby seal who needed help but not homeless people. This sparked his passion for helping people who are in need when he saw that happen. Kenan was also very involved with volunteering for his community but noticed that it was hard to find work to do because of his young age. I thought it was a great idea because it is creating a positive impact on kid’s lives and at the same time is helping the community. This is also beneficial for parents because instead of finding a babysitter and paying money to watch your kid, you can just send them to this, and they will be busy and accounted for. This young man is very inspiring because he was very determined to make this successful. When he encountered problems at the start with having enough volunteers, he just focused on his vision of helping the homeless. His passion outweighed the conflicts he encountered which eventually led to success and growth of the business. The one question that I have is how he can expand this to other states across the country. I hope that he is able to keep his business growing so that he can have a positive impact on kids and the community.

SAFETRIP

  • Langston Whitlock is another young entrepreneur who started his own business at the age of sixteen. He is taking the tech world by storm as he is the co-founder and CIO of SAFETRIP, which is the world’s first healthcare transportation mobile app and digital platform. With this app, Whitlock’s patented technology can allow users to book non-emergency and emergency medical transport. It also gives the user an option to pay for services using their insurance. Although he is one of the youngest entrepreneurs in this industry, he says he does not let his age deter him from his goals. The one thing he talks about is how he had a good support system because the people around him trusted his skills. The way SAFETRIP was created was that another person named Ja’Nese Jean saw a homeless veteran who didn’t have access to healthcare. Ja’Nese Jean brought on Langston Whitlock because she knew about his skills and talent. This goes to show how good Langston is at coding because SAFETRIP has raised two million dollars in funding. What was inspiring about Langston’s story was how he started to learn coding at the age of 12. He did it by building an anonymous messaging app to contact his absent father. He says that project is what helped guide him toward his greater purpose which is what he is currently doing with SAFETRIP. His message to other people was to always have faith no matter your circumstance because God has a plan for everyone. Although Langston did not come up this idea, I thought it was very impressive to see how talented he was in the tech industry to lead him where he is at today.

Mr. Cory’s Cookies

  • Cory Nieves is one of the youngest entrepreneurs as he started his own business at the age of six. His business is called Mr. Cory’s Cookies  and he makes delicious all-natural flavored cookies and sweet treats. The one thing that stood out to me was how dedicated he was throughout the process. It started with selling hot cocoa then transitioned to making the famous all natural from high quality ingredients cookie. For being that young, I found it very impressive how seriously he took his idea. It sounds like the thing that differentiates his cookies from others is the ingredients that he uses. He expanded his line of cookies to more health-conscious people by including flavors like double dark, oatmeal raisin, and sugar with still more to come. I thought that this was smart because eating cookies and other sweet treats is not a healthy option, but with his cookies, it sounds like a better alternative. One thing that I am curious about is the nutrition facts that is not listed on the website. I would’ve liked to compare his cookies compared to normal ones to see how big of a health difference there actually was. While I was looking at the menu, it says that a portion of the proceeds goes back to the community. This is a great idea and represents his purpose of starting the business which is inspiring. He is very mature for his age, and I respect the fact that he still gives money from his sales which shows that he truly is trying to make the world a better place (his dream).
