Sidharth and Rohit Srinivasan – Trashbots

Brothers Sidharth and Rohit Srinivasan realized that schools in India do not have an affordable way of teaching stem and robotics, so they designed a kit that, instead of using expensive computers, internet, and programs, uses cheap motors, lights, and other mechanical and electric components, intended to be used various bits and pieces of cardboard, rubber bands, popsicle sticks and other things normally considered trash. This allows students to be creative with the things that they find around them, allowing creation of anything that the child can imagine, without having to worry about running out of pieces, as all they have to do is look around the room for new parts.

Hart Main – ManCans

The company ManCans was created when Hart Main (13 at the time) decided that he was bored of conventional candle scents. He believed that smells such as vanilla, lavender and similar were “Too Girly”. Instead, he began creating and selling candles with more manly scents, including Bacon, Burnt rubber, and campfire that are molded into soup cans for some extra flair. The soup from these cans would be donated to food banks and soup kitchens, allowing Main to both provide an entertaining product for customers as well as help people. The candles are now available online as well as at many stores, and Hart has gone on to write a book on entrepreneurship and starting his own business.
