Noa Mintz

Noa Mintz began her entrepreneurship journey in 2008. She began a summer art program where she offered classes for a small fee. After two years she kept growing in her journey and expanded her businesses. She started a party planning business and she even wrote an employee handbook for guidance. As she got older she said that she was not impressed with her work from her earlier years but she gave herself some leniency becasue she was under the age of 10.  Now, a 16 year old, she has runs a full-service childcare agency in New York CIty.  Her agency is called Nannies by Noa.  The business matches a nanny and the family that is need of a caregiver. When she began highschool she did not have enough time in her life to balance her school and jobs so she hired a full-time CEO.  This CEO had 25 years of experience and along with that, she hired two additional associates.  She is proud of the fact that she is creating jobs and that she gets to employ people.  She says that “It is rewarding and empowering.” She has been very successful and has found hundreds of nannies for families in New York.

Kidzcationz

Bella Tipping is a 13 year old entrepreneur. She has created a travel website but it is not just any ordinary travel website, it’s Kidzcationz. This website is focused around kids and what they think of their trips. The kids are allowed to rate their experience at hotels, restaurants, and attractions.  They rate based on how well these places support their needs. For example, restaurants are rated in regards to food and drinks, friendly staff, kids entertainment, easy access to toilets, quiet area, quick meals, disability access, and caring staff.  This gives children the opportunity to use their voices and they are able to compare places to what other children their age are doing.

Bella Tipping wants to fight for social change because she wants to live in a world where everyone is included.  Her motto says it all. She says that “if you think it, you can do it.”  I think that this is a great example for young entrepreneurs as the world is changing and expanding constantly as they are growing up.

Zollipops – Alina Morse

9 year old Alina Morse loves sweets.  In 2014 she had this thought of making a lollipop that is good for you and also tastes good.  She had to research a lot and had help from her dad but they ended up creating a sugar-free lollipop that helps to neutralize acidity which means the bacteria that causes tooth decay cannot grow. The lollipops are both vegan and organic. Alina made $70,000 in sales in one year and she is now trying to get her Zollipops in dentists offices and schools everywhere.

I think that Alina saw that there was a big problem here and she was very motivated to fix it.  She has the right idea of reaching out to dentists and schools for this to be their candy of choice because that is where she could get a lot of revenue from and also she wants to these people making the healthy choice in their candy.  I also think that with more people having dietary restrictions in today’s society she can use those as a big push in her advertising. I think that she was very motivated in her love of sweets and health.

Gladiator Lacrosse

Rachel Zietz was only 13 when she began her entrepreneurship journey. Rachel was a lacrosse player who was not settling for the expensive and the nondurable equipment.  She had an idea of creating her own products using more durable materials but at a cheaper price.  She pitched her idea at a Young Entrepreneurs Academy after she had attended and she was awarded $2,700 for the start up of her company.  Rachel was involved with the decisions of the concepts and the selection of the raw materials. She was very detailed in her decisions and it reflects upon her passion for the game.  In the first two years o the company, they made $200,000 in sales and then they were up to one million dollars in revenue just two years later. They still continue to sell high quality practice equipment that include back yard rebounders, goals, clothing and accessories.

Rachel’s products are unique because on average they are 20% stronger than the competitors and they are able to withstand mother nature.  Her company seemed to bloom very well. Rachel saw there was a need for these items and it shows in her sales from even the first two years.  Her brand also has an ambassador who is a major league lacrosse player named Casey Powell which is very great for her business to be promoted to that scene of people.  Rachel’s passions for taking charge and making a change lead to great opportunities.

Sebastian Martinez: Are you Kidding

At age 5 Sebastian Martinez started his own company.  At a very young age he he had a passion for collecting fun socks.  He began to design his own socks once his mother suggested he do so.  He began his business with just an interest and a passion of socks.  In 2014 he ended up making $15,000 with the help from his older brother who works as his director of sales.  The next year’s revenue began to grow and he was expected to double or maybe even triple their sales.  The socks sales raised money for cancer awareness and they partnered with other companies to donate to Discovery Arts which helps bring art programs to children with serious illness.

It is amazing to see someone so young to have such a passion for something just as small as socks.  I think that he is going to do amazing things with his life.  Now that he has success under his belt he will be even more driven for his next project.  He is an inspiration to other young children who have a big passion.  This just shows that if you have a big enough passion for something, it will drive you to do great things that may also impact those in need.
