BearBottom Apparel

Robert Felder was just a high school student when he stumbled upon an idea that would shape his career. It all started when Robert went on an overseas trip with his father and came back home to Florida. During the trip, he gained insight on clothing and how it was made in factories. His father works in the apparel industry, so he had exposure to the career from a young age. Once Robert came back home, he was in the market for a new pair of shorts. However, he was not able to find what he wanted. He began to question how much effort it would take to create his own pair of shorts; made exactly the way he wanted them. With the help of his father, he began to create his own line of shorts and made a website. Bearbottom. During his time at college, he launched his company completely. With every pair of shorts sold, Robert wanted to donate a pair to the people of Bangladesh. He noticed that they needed a pair of adventure shorts as much as he did, and he truly believes that they need support. Another value of the company is to create comfortable menswear clothing. Robert says in his interview from Forbes that the company as a whole, cares immensely for their customers. Robert views his team very highly. He describes his team as the backbone of his company. BearBottom has expanded to sell more than just shorts, with plans to sell women’s clothing in the future. BearBottom has a mission of giving back and giving to communities that are not able to experience clothing like BearBottom. According to their website, the company has donated 100,000+ shorts to children in Bangladesh and even India. Overall, BearBottom is a comfortable clothing brand focused on helping others be more comfortable in their day-to-day adventures.

Scott Moran - SamCart | LinkedIn

Scott Moran was just a student at Grove City College when he started experimenting with his future career options. Scott studied marketing and management while in college. Scott’s career all started when one brother said to the other brother, “Hey, I want to sell stuff on the internet.” And just like that, they began to bring to life their ideas. In 2009, Scott and his brother Brian started an online company called Train Baseball. Train Baseball taught the two of them many valuable skills. Each of them learned how to use Facebook ads, control an online company, and overall, learn how to sell. At its best, Train Baseball made around $10k a month. Despite this success, the two brothers still wanted to grow. They began to develop ideas and recruit others to their business. They recognized that they needed employees who were skilled with software developing, so they hired two to help them build SamCart. SamCart was launched in September of 2016. SamCart is an e-commerce company that helps you grow. SamCart is successful because they capitalize on webinar registration. They spend around 25,000 dollars a day on advertising their company. The email lists are constantly growing and providing customers with the opportunity to expand their knowledge with SamCart. The second way SamCart rose to success is their webinar training. SamCart offers educationally packed, and wisdom filled advice for the consumer. At the end of the training, SamCart will be mentioned. This gives the company more advertisement and awareness of their brand. Lastly, SamCart rose because of its digital products. They offer a bundle to enhance customer purchase decisions. SamCart powers entrepreneurs to start their own company, and to do it correctly. Now, SamCart is used by over 75,000 customers who altogether sell more than 2.8 billion dollars in products. In 2013, two sisters set out to create a product they never would have seen themselves selling. Sydney and Toni Loew are the founders of Poketti. What is a Poketti? A Poketti is defined in their website as, “A plushie with pocket powers.” According to their website, Poketti means many pockets. The family business started when Sydney Leow took an entrepreneurship class in 7th grade. Sydney and her team had brainstormed the idea of a plushie in that class. But the plushie kingdom did not stop there! Sydney was inspired and wanted to create her own plushie with a pocket for convivence to store treasures. She consulted with her parents, who are designers, and her sister, who became her business partner. The small idea in a 7th grade entrepreneur class became a family business idea. Each plushie has its own name and style. For example, Sydney the Penguin, Toni the Bunny, Roxi the Kitty and Baxter the Puppy are all part of their series 1 launch, and the first four plushies they created. In the summer of 2013, they launched a 30-day Kickstarter campaign and raised $20,000 for the initial order of Poketti plushies. Since 2013, they have continued to be successful. Poketti has attended several trade shows and direct sales events. They have even produced a tv commercial. The Man Candle

Main man behind ManCans

Have you ever thought of candles smelling too girly? Do you think the candle market would explode (fragrantly) if men had a candle that made them feel even more masculine? Well, young Hart Main thought the same thing. Hart Main is the founder of ManCans. One day his twelve-year-old sister was selling candles for a school fundraiser. At the age of thirteen, Hart stated that the candles his sister were selling were too girly. He teased his sister about it. Unlike a normal sibling tease that fades away after a couple hours, this tease stuck with Hart. That was not the last time he thought about candles. After the initial tease, Hart realized that he had addressed a real issue. There are no manly candles! He started to think about it more and more and eventually conducted some research on the candle market. There was no one who had thought or created this idea before. He had a spot in the market! In 2011, Hart set out to create ManCans, the manly scented candle. With the help of his supporting parents, and money he had saved up, they created candles. They manufacture scents like bacon, dirt, campfire, sawdust, and fresh cut grass. These candles are not decorated the normal way. Instead of being properly placed inside a refined glass container, Hart placed his candles in old, recycled soup cans. Which gives them a rustic and homemade look. Hart donates part of his proceeds to soup kitchens in nearby states. Hart had massive success with his candles. He now sells his manly candles internationally. Who knew that a simple tease between siblings could turn into a revolutionary idea that is sold around the world.
