Hunks Hauling Junk

Nick Friedman and Omar Soliman are the co-founders of College Hunks Hauling Junk, a company they started while they were still in college. I picked them because I have alot of interest in labor work, and their story really shows how you can turn hard work into a successful business.Their idea came about when Omar had to write a business plan for a college competition. He thought of a junk removal and moving service that people could trust. He called Nick, his childhood friend, and they decided to actually make it happen. They started small with just one van, doing the hauling jobs themself. At first, they mainly helped people get rid of junk or move items they didn’t need. The physical labor was tough, but they believed in their idea and kept working hard. One thing that makes their story interesting is that they didn’t just focus on junk removal. They also wanted to change how people think about customer service in the moving industry. They made sure the people they hired were friendly, professional, and trustworthy, which wasn’t always the case in the industry. Their approach worked, and now College Hunks Hauling Junk has grown into a national brand with franchises across the U.S. I really like their story because it shows how two young guys with a simple idea and alot of hustle could create something big. Their business took off because they were willing to do the hard, physical work themself at first, and they focused on offering great service. It’s inspiring to see how they started from scratch and turned their labor into a huge company. Scenes from CEO Connect with Omar Soliman and Nick Friedman - TBBW

Mikaila Ulmer

Mikaila Ulmer, a 19 year old entrepreneur from Houston Texas who’s making a huge impact in the business world. Mikaila is the founder and CEO of Me & the Bees Lemonade, a company she started when she was just 4 years old. Her story began when she was stung by a bee twice. Instead of being scared and hating them like most, she became curious about bees and learned how important they are for our environment. Mikaila’s parents encouraged her to come up with a business idea for a children’s entrepreneur competition. Inspired by her love for bees and her great grandmother’s lemonade recipe, she decided to create a lemonade sweetened with honey. It wasn’t just about the drink, but also to help save bees. some of her profits go toward bee conservation efforts. At 9 years old, Mikaila went on the TV show Shark Tank , and got $60,000 from Daymond John. Her lemonade became a huge, and now Me & the Bees Lemonade is sold in major grocery stores all over the u.s. Mikaila’s company continues to grow, she is now 19 years old and still an entrepreneur, her net worth sits right around a million dollars but that’s before deals with grocery stores across the country. What makes Mikaila’s story so cool is that she turned a childhood experience into a thriving business with a purpose. She’s a great example of how young people can make a big impact in this world, and how being original can be so beneficial. As a 19 year old this gives me so much motivation, because it goes to show you can love what you do in life, it can be something as simple as lemonade, or as complex as going to space, you just need to find something that brings you joy and put your head down and grind for it.
