Rivian

RJ Scaringe is the founder and CEO of Rivian Automotive. Rivian is defined as a company focused on developing an integrated portfolio of products and services to advance the shift to sustainable mobility. Scaringe has his Master of Science and PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT. In 2009, Scaringe started this company Rivian. In 2020, the production of there two electric vehicles will begin. The two vehicles have potential to disrupt the automobile industry.

The vehicles are an SUV and a truck. The vehicles will be available in many battery sizes that will dictate the specs of that vehicle. For example, the R1T (truck) will have 402 horsepower, 240 mile range, and go 0-60 mph in 4.9 seconds with the 105 kWh battery; while the 180 kWh battery will be 700 horsepower, 400 mile range, and go 0-60 mph in 3.2 seconds. I personally love the truck. It looks very modern and has a very beautiful interior. The truck boasts many places for storage that will benefit the driver greatly. I feel this vehicles will disrupt the industry when they are released. The vehicles are built on a “skateboard” chassis. This chassis is something I have never seen before and it is truly beautiful. I feel that this company will be very successful behind RJ Scaringe’s entrepreneurial thinking.

Mike Bartos is a gym owner from Youngstown, Ohio. He is a man I know personally from going to his gym for the past 4 years. Over many years he was trying to figure out how to make an atlas stone that can have variable weight settings. An atlas stone is generally a large sphere that is made of concrete and has one weight. It is used in strongman competitions and training. Instead of having a bunch of concrete spheres laying around, he knew something had to be done. This led to many prototypes and testing to find the perfect stone. He created the Stone of Steel: the worlds first plate loaded atlas stone. This black stone is capable of weighing either 130 pounds up to 450+ pounds. This was a major innovation in the strongman community. He has since added many other products that are very useful. He prides all his products on being American made with American steel. He has been entrepreneurial in his field and has made a major innovation in stone training.

Larry Enticer

A 22 year-old living his best life, Larry Enticer, often known as “Denim Danger,” is a millennial entrepreneur. With his internet famous catch phrase “Just gonna send it,” Larry Enticer has quickly grown in popularity on Instagram. His account is filled with hilarious videos. They mostly consist of him driving an old beat up snowmobile over jumps and crashing. But first, you have to get the idea of what he looks like. Larry is a 22 year old white man that appears to be 40. He wears a denim jacket and the same color jeans with it. With a beautiful mullet and mustache, Larry Enticer’s hilarious appearance brings him many fans. With his crazy personality and great videos, he has grown up to nearly 600k followers on Instagram. This has led to sponsorships from various companies that sell performance parts for snowmobiles and other toys. He also has a website for his fans to get some “send it” gear. His t shirts are often sold out. Another thing he sells is a mullet wig with the send it headband. “Denim Danger” has been entrepreneurial because he took his talents and turned it into a job. His funny videos and even funnier looks have led to him becoming a public figure in some people’s eyes. Keep on sendin it!

The Lost Breed

The Lost Breed was started by two young entrepreneurs Anthony Lugo and Josh Levitan. This company sells apparel and workout programs. They get most of their customers from their Instagram page. Their page is filled with videos of them doing what seem to be unnecessary athletic things that I found very cool. Boasting 433k followers, their account does not lack entertainment. Whether it is motivational videos or videos of them smashing watermelons over their abs, people love to see them working hard on their fitness. They took things that they were very passionate about and turned it into a business. They came up with The Lost Breed. The Lost Breed is a group of individuals driven by hunger and ambition who are destined to reach their goals by any means. Selling very modern and sleek designed apparel, a lot of their items sell out very quickly. They have opened a gym in Connecticut, where they train as well as coach others that want to join The Lost Breed. They have been entrepreneurial because they found what they are passionate about and turned it into a good business.

For 30 year old Salvador Amezcua, painting has become his source of income. But not just painting a canvas or walls, but painting shoes. “Business is boomin’” for 19 year old entrepreneur Benjamin Kapelushnik. It all started when he was around 13 years old and started becoming what is known as a “sneaker head.” Around 15, he began to buy and sell a lot of shoes to people he knew, online, through social media, as well as to celebrities. Benjamin “Kickz” Kapelushnik makes his money from reselling rare sneakers. The market value of resale sneakers has steadily increased in recent years and is now valued at around $1.2 billion. He is able to get some rare sneakers before they even hit the market and he resells them on his SneakerDon website as soon as he gets them. He is able to get all the shoes in all the sizes, which sets him apart from other resellers in the market because they generally only have a few sizes. This gave Ben an advantage over his competitors and attracted a lot of business. 

 

Some of his most well known customers include DJ Khaled, P Diddy, and Travis Scott. Benjamin’s family recently moved to Los Angeles and he believes this will help his business to grow. Currently, he has near $1 million in stock shoes waiting to be sold and buys more almost every day. He makes around a million dollars a year reselling sneakers online. That money is not even including the money he makes from selling to celebrities. The celebrities tend to buy the more high-end sneakers too. All this is possible because of his great marketing skills. He gets the sneakers from resellers that don’t have the customers that Ben has.
