Katie Carson started her homemade, hand poured, soap business as a young teenager but never imagined it turning into something that would end up being extremely successful. Zandra is dedicated to creating skin care that is made from natural products and is gentle for skin and does not contain any unwanted chemicals. Me and the Bees Lemonade

Mikaila is a young girl who lives in Austin Texas. Her entrepreneurial story begins with an unfortunate interaction she had with a Bee that stung her twice. After getting stung, Mikaila had a very unhealthy fear of Bees and wanted to avoid them at all costs. However, her parents helped Mikaila overcome her fear by teaching her about the vast benefits Bees provide to the world and showing her that much of life depends on the jobs Bee’s accomplish. Mikaila’s perspective about Bees was completely changed, her fear was gone, and she began taking interest in Bees and desired to help support and protect the life of Bees. 

This young girl put her creative mind to work and decided to open up her own lemonade stand in her front yard using her grandmother’s lemonade recipe that used honey as a sweetener. After gaining a lot of popularity, Mikaila started growing her business and advertising to different companies and stores. Mikaila has created five different lemonade flavor options, all sweetened with Bees honey, a classic lemonade flavor, passion fruit, prickly pear, very berry, and cherry. Mikaila’s “Me and the Bees Lemonade” website is very colorful and has lots of pictures of her journey as well as an adorable and interesting video that shares her story and her mission with creating her lemonade product. Mikaila’s website also provides consumers with easy access to buy her products and has a map to find the nearest store that sells her lemonade. 

Driven by her desire to save the Bees, Mikaila selflessly donates a percentage of her lemonade profits to local and international organizations that are fighting to save the Bees. This young girl even wrote and published a book called “Bee Fearless” that talks about her entrepreneur journey. Mikaila’s lemonade products are now found in all 50 states, and she enjoys speaking about her products and mission worldwide at different events. Mikaila’s story proves that when it comes to thinking creatively and starting a business it doesn’t matter how old you are. Her life shows that as long as you have a passion for something and a desire to fight for a change you can use that as motivation and inspiration to start a business. ManCans

Hart Main was only 13 years old when he developed an idea that will soon launch into a successful business. After making fun of his younger sister for all of her girly smelling candles Hart decided to start trying to create manly scented candles. Hart decided to start this business because he wanted to buy a $1,200 Bike and he needed a way to make money. He came up with the clever name “ManCans” and he packages his product in what looks like soup cans. His products have a very minimalist and manly look but also present an element of fun with all of the goofy scents. 

Hart’s entrepreneurial story shows the importance of motivation and how having a clear goal helps to stay driven and determined. Hart used his desire to buy the bike to help launch his business because it kept him productive and working towards his goal. 

Hart created a vast majority of scents, some of them include “cigar, beer, and grandpa’s pipe.” These candles would make for a great and very funny gift to give a friend or maybe a dad for father’s dad. Hart’s entrepreneurial story proves that sometimes there is secret success hidden in the things others might think are silly or not profitable. 

Although there wasn’t an obvious need for his product, Hart is still solving the problem of candles not having manly scent options. Some of the scents he created are very humorous like “Dirt” and “Grass” and you can see Hart’s funny personality displayed through his variety of manly scented options. 

In addition, Hart uses his business to donate cans of soup to people who are starving. The slogan for his product is “one candle, one meal.” Hart displays selflessness by making it his mission to donate and help people who may be starving. Even though Hart’s business started from the desire to buy an expensive bike his whole idea has now pivoted to something that helps his community. Hart’s story also highlights the need to stay humble and he himself shares that one of his greatest rewards in starting his business was the entrepreneur experience he got.

Hart’s business is now very successful and some of his products are sold on the “Beaver Creek Candle Company” website. It is astonishing to hear this young boy’s story and see his innovative and creative mind in action in a selfless and unique way. 

BeYOUtiful

Hannah is a young 16-year-old teenage girl who successfully developed a company that sells homemade bath bombs. Hannah gave her business the witty name “BeYOUtiful” and created a colorful and organized website design that demonstrates her entrepreneur skills. 

Hannah has a unique and emotional personal story that led her to building her bath bomb company. As a child Hannah was diagnosed with type one diabetes, and she has had to live with this handicap for the entirety of her life. Although living with diabetes is a difficult trail Hannah’s father always assured her that she could use her pain as motivation. That is exactly what Hannah sought to do, work through her pain and exercise the skill of determination to accomplish whatever she set her mind to do. Because Hannah learns to persevere at such a young age, she developed the traits of an entrepreneur who is truly innovative and determined. I found Hannahs personal story truly inspiring, especially because she is so young.  

Throughout her life, Hannah always loved bath bombs and one day when their family was in the store her dad challenged her to start making her own product. Taking her dads advice Hannah eagerly began creating her own products to sell. Hannah’s business has a handful of products all made with organic materials and all with different scents and designs. Her prices are affordable, and she professionally lists all the ingredients she uses in each bath bomb. 

 Additionally, Hannah shares that she donates 10% of her profit to the mission of discovering a cure to type one diabetes. Hannah demonstrates what it means to be truly selfless while also inventing a successful company. Of course, there are many companies and stores that sell bath bombs, but Hannah’s bath bomb idea is truly innovative because the purpose of her work is to support a greater cause. The buyer would most likely choose to support Hannah’s company over a different bath bomb company because they know that buying from Hannah also means they are supporting the discovery of a cure for type 1 diabetes. This unique difference sets Hannah apart from her competition. 

Furthermore, Hannah also presents a message of positivity through the name and the purpose of her company. In the bio on her website Hannah encourages her buyer to be themselves and she demonstrates this through her own life of accepting her weaknesses and using them to benefit others. 

Hannah’s story proves that starting a business does not need to be purely motivated by earning money, and buyers are more likely to support small business if their money is going to a noble cause.
