Zollipops

Aline Morse has a very interesting entrepreneur story that begins with a rule her parents had enforced in their household, no candy. One day when young Aline went to the bank with her father one of the ladies working at the desk offered her a lollipop and Aline had to reluctantly decline because her parents had always told her not to eat candy because it causes teeth to rot and be damaged. Eventually, the experience at the bank caused Aline to have a eureka moment and she began to come up with a very innovative business idea. Aline knew that all young kids love candy, but it is difficult for little children to use self-control and understand the negative effects of eating candy and Aline had an idea to change that. Aline wanted to keep the excitement and the enjoyment of eating candy but use ingredients that are actually good for kids’ teeth and won’t cause as much damage.

Aline started to make her own candy products after watching YouTube tutorials and experimenting in her household’s kitchen. By using ingredients that were less acidic, and sugar free Aline was able to create candy that would clean kids’ teeth as they eat it. Her business idea had almost immediate success, mostly because Aline was filling the market with a new and unheard-of project. She discovered a unique way to find a niche in the market and solve a problem that most people had not previously thought of. Aliens “Zollipops” are the number one top selling sugar free lollipops, but this young girl had bigger goals set for herself and hopes to one day become the top selling lollipop in the world.

Additionally, Alines candy business has a great mission, and she donates 10 percent of her earnings to help schools include more oral health care classes so that students are informed about what will lead to damaging their teeth. Aline also shares her story continually and encourages other kids her age to pursue their passions. Although most don’t think young kids will be able to create and run successful businesses, Aline proves with her story that her younger age was actually a huge benefit. Aline was able to relate very easily to her audience and was able to use her age to decide what candy flavors other kids would want to eat. Her story is truly inspiring and demonstrates the importance of creative thinking.

Alina Morse: Zolli Candy

Sweet Success - DBusiness Magazine

Alina was only 7 years old when she had the idea for Zollipops. She was offered a lollipop when she went to run an errand with her father. Her father refused the offer and told Alina that candy would damage her teeth. This sparked the idea of inventing candy that not only tastes great, but is good for your teeth. She would watch YouTube videos on how to make candy and experiment in her kitchen. Her and her dad started making these lollipops that hit the shelves in 2014. This lollipop is vegan, all-natural, and sugar free. This turned into the making of her website Zolli Candy. She now sells her products in major retailers like Walmart, Whole Foods, and Kroger. Alina is a great example for what it looks like to see a problem and seek out a solution. No matter what age, inventions can be made!

$6 Million…at 13 years old

Alina Morse is an inspiration. Just like the rest of us, she hated it when her parents told her she couldn’t have candy. “It will hurt you teeth!” they would say. Well, 9-year-old Alina had had enough of this and decided to make an alternative. After months of YouTube research, product testing, and sampling, Ms. Morse created the “Zollipop”. These lollipop-style candies are vegan, dairy-free, sugar-free, gluten-free, and actually beneficial to the consumer’s teeth. Fast forward four years and one can find Zollipops in Whole Foods, Kroger, Target, and many other stores. Here in the craziest part: Her business is worth $6 million dollars and she only has seven employees. Alina has gotten an audience with ex-first lady Michelle Obama and been on the Today show. Finally 10% of her company’s earnings go to “One Million Smiles” which is a company geared to fighting the rapidly growing tooth-decay epidemic.

Candy that will save your teeth!

Alina Morse founded Zolli Candy after her parents wouldn’t allow her to eat any. She was frustrated because her parents were limiting her to such an addicting craving. She has had an interest in eating candy since she was little, and has worked on creating a way to enjoy the satisfaction of candy, while avoiding the cavities. A lot of parents these days worry about how many sweets to give their kids and Alina has found an alternative. Working hard from a young age, she has come up with a way to make candy a lot healthier. She also had help from some family members in getting her business up and running. Producing sugar free candy that won’t land you an appointment to the dentist, wasn’t easy. After lots of experimenting and getting feed back from peers, they finally landed on a product. This new candy showed parents hope for giving their kids candy. With Zolli candy, these new parents won’t have to worry about their kids ending up in the dentist office. The candy is also enjoyed by adults as well. With many varieties of flavors to choose from, both kids and adults are satisfied with these treats. Providing this alternative of candy, brings a whole new approach to the market. Most candies are loaded with sugars and artificial flavors, but zolli’s is an alternative option. These other candies also have dozens of ingredients that you probably can’t pronounce.

Being different in the marketplace can provide success to your product. Alina’s story is very inspiring. At such a young age, she has provided the general public with a product that the market has not seen much of. Zolli’s candy can be found in many stores around the United States. When looking for a healthy alternative, but looking for something sweet, look for Zolli’s candy.

Zollipops“

Alina Morse, the founder of Zollipops, was only seven years old when she came up with the idea for her now incredibly successful candy company.

Alina and her dad took a trip to the bank to deposit a check and as they were leaving the bank teller offered up a lollypop to Alina, her dad told her not to eat the lollipop because lollipops have too much sugar in them and it was going to rot her teeth out of her mouth. So then and there Alina and her Dad got to thinking, why can’t there be a lollipop that tastes good and won’t rot your teeth out? The idea for Zollypop was born. Alina and her Dad came up with a sugar-free, gluten-free, vegetarian, non GMO lollipop made with only natural flavors and it has become hugely successful. After receiving so much positive feedback on their lollypop Lollypop expanded their product Line to also include other sugar free candies for customers to enjoy as well!

Zollypop has made it their mission to save as many smilies as possible so they have partnered with the Million Smiles Initiative to help fight childhood tooth decay which is America’s single most chronic childhood disease.

Alina Morse And The Healthy Lollipop

Alina Morse is just an ordinary high schooler with an extraordinary passion for clean teeth. The 17-year-old is the CEO of a company called Zolli Candy. Zolli Candy creates lollipops, hard candy, and taffy all vegan, natural, KETO, gluten-free, and sugar-free. As a child, after having been offered a lollipop from a bank teller, she pondered over a major problem. Candy is terrible for your health and especially, your teeth. At the age of seven, she decided to act and spent two years over her home stove, endlessly researching, and questioning dentists and food scientists. The result was a lollipop sweetened by xylitol and erythritol, natural sweeteners that, due to their ability to neutralize the mouth’s pH, actually prevent cavities and tooth decay by lowering plaque and bacteria.

By the age of nine, Morse’s lollipop was finally ready and launched when Whole Foods Market picked it up. The new Zollipops became a bestseller on Amazon and were quickly adopted by Kroger in 2016 while Morse became an inspiring new face to the rest of the entrepreneurship and oral health world.

With her passion for healthy teeth and gums, Morse has waged a war against the tooth decay epidemic, specifically in children. In an act to save kids’ teeth, she began a “100,000 Smiles” campaign and in doing so, has donated thousands of Zollipops to schools and dentists and has donated her profits to oral health education. It is inspiring to see someone so young be so passionate about one area of pain, a passion she has nurtured since the age of seven and successfully weaved into her million-dollar idea. Morse is a surprising entrepreneur due to how she flipped the problem. She not only made candy harmless. She made it healthy

Mr. Cory’s Cookies

  • Cory Nieves is one of the youngest entrepreneurs as he started his own business at the age of six. His business is called Mr. Cory’s Cookies  and he makes delicious all-natural flavored cookies and sweet treats. The one thing that stood out to me was how dedicated he was throughout the process. It started with selling hot cocoa then transitioned to making the famous all natural from high quality ingredients cookie. For being that young, I found it very impressive how seriously he took his idea. It sounds like the thing that differentiates his cookies from others is the ingredients that he uses. He expanded his line of cookies to more health-conscious people by including flavors like double dark, oatmeal raisin, and sugar with still more to come. I thought that this was smart because eating cookies and other sweet treats is not a healthy option, but with his cookies, it sounds like a better alternative. One thing that I am curious about is the nutrition facts that is not listed on the website. I would’ve liked to compare his cookies compared to normal ones to see how big of a health difference there actually was. While I was looking at the menu, it says that a portion of the proceeds goes back to the community. This is a great idea and represents his purpose of starting the business which is inspiring. He is very mature for his age, and I respect the fact that he still gives money from his sales which shows that he truly is trying to make the world a better place (his dream).

Alina Morse: Zollipops

How many of you were told as a child how candy was going to rot your teeth? Alina was just like everyone else being told this, however, at seven years old she did something about it. Alina Morse decided to create a lollipop that was actually good for your teeth. Thus, in 2014 Zollipops was created.

Alina demonstrates the traits of an entrepreneur because she saw a problem and did something about it. I find her idea so interesting and remarkable, because it was so simple! Every kid is told at least once by an adult how bad candy is for your teeth. Alina heard it, yet she was the one to do something about it. She is innovating by making a lollipop that will not rot your teeth. She solved the problem by making a recipe for a vegan, all-natural, sugar-free candy. In addition to her business, Alina is using it to raise awareness of America’s tooth decay epidemic. Her company works to raise awareness of this problem by providing a solution through sugar-free candy. I am inspired how Alina is using her platform to bring awareness to a higher issue.

Alina is specifically inspiring to me because at only seven years old she saw a problem and she actually created a business to solve it. I find is interesting the mindset we have as kids to just go for it and not have any hesitation. Our imaginations are so pure and innocent when we are kids, yet somewhere along the way we grow a sense of fear. Alina inspires me to rediscover that young imagination and boldness we have when we are kids and act on it.

Alina Morse Creates Zollipops: Lollipops Minus the Sugar

As a 7-year-old, Alina loved candy but knew that excess sugar was bad for her. She turned her love for candy into the driving force for creating a healthier alternative. She used the $7,500 in savings from her grandparents and chased her dream.

She created a fruit-flavored lollipop sweetened without sugar and began selling them in Whole Foods, SuperValu, and Amazon. She was so successful that First Lady Michelle Obama invited her to the White House as an official guest on two separate occasions!

Alina took a passion of hers and ran with it. She knew that if she wanted a healthier alternative to candy, chances are other people do too.
