As a Montec user myself, I can say with confidence that all you need to wear underneath is a t-shirt because they WILL keep you warm. It works like a sleeping bag, the one-piece layered shell reflects your body temperature back onto itself and the reoccurring process prevents the body from cooling off. I have even found at times that I need to air myself out because I can start to sweat in them, which on the cold days is not a problem at all.
