Who even cares if its cold outside?

MONTEC does, and they have found the solution to people’s “cold shoulder” about hitting the slopes. We have all been there, out skiing with some friends when you’re only your fourth or fifth run in and you start to feel the cold creeping up your spine, you know that the day has only just started but your sweatshirt and puffer jacket just are not making the cut. Being cold sucks, especially if you’re trying to enjoy yourself in it, which is exactly what Montec wants to fix.

Founded in Sweeden in 2016, Frank and Lorena Montefusco began to develop a winter jacket that would keep all riders and cold weather enjoyers warm all day. Their jackets “hit the sweet spot of fashion and functionality.” The waterproof jackets blow the rest of the competition OUT of the water and keep themselves dry in the process. As a Montec user myself, I can say with confidence that all you need to wear underneath is a t-shirt because they WILL keep you warm. It works like a sleeping bag, the one-piece layered shell reflects your body temperature back onto itself and the reoccurring process prevents the body from cooling off. I have even found at times that I need to air myself out because I can start to sweat in them, which on the cold days is not a problem at all.

The company has something for everyone and all of their intricately designed products will last for many seasons. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to stay warm or to look great on the mountain.

Breaking the Surface

One of my life-long hobbies has been skiing. I’ve been on the slopes for as long as I can remember, and over the years, I’ve gone through several sets of skis myself. Over the accumulated months that I’ve spent on the slopes in my life, I have found that skiing park was where I found the most joy. Unfortunately, not many ski companies/ manufacturers make skis specifically dedicated to park, and when they make, their selection is usually quite slim. That’s how I found out about Surface skis. They are a company dedicated to making skis with the sole purpose of hitting big air, terrain parks, rails, and everything in-between. CEO, serial entrepreneur, and founder, Michael Schneider has made a company dedicated to hard-core and experienced skiers. He has built all of his brands from the ground up. Michael has over a decade of experience in global trade, offshore and domestic product sourcing, line plan management, sales management, trade shows, photography, and social media marketing guru. He solved the problem that many skiers like me face, wondering if the product they are buying will be reliable, safe, or sturdy. Surface skis have just broken the surface, and I am beyond excited to see where this fantastic company will go.
